Pive Toivonen a visual artist based in Helsinki, Finland. She received MA from the University of Arts and Design Helsinki / Aalto University in 2002. She works with painting, illustration, environmental art and art education. Her main media is water colour painting with ecological and site specific aspects. She uses painting as a way to documentate – like drawn photographs, slow camera. She has held numerous exhibitions in Finland and in Scandinavia.
